President-select George Bush proudly calls himself a "compassionate person" and
a conservative. These things however are like oil and water; they don't mix.
We who sit here on death row throughout this country truly understand the
compassion of George and his Republican friends.
We experience their compassion each and every day that we wake up in this human
warehouse, waiting our turn to have the ultimate compassion thrown our way.
With love, respect and concern, they all care enough about us to want to
relieve us of our physical bondage, our emotional stress, our mental anguish
and psychological torture, and do so in the name of their religion, their God,
their justice and outright humanity.
They want to do these wonderful things for us by murdering us! By killing us!
By executing us. They want to strap us down to tables, and very kindly place
razor sharp pointed needles in our precious human bodies and pump deadly poison
into us.
I don't know about you, but I can do without this kind of "compassion!"
