On the night of Feburary 9 2004, Kevin Cooper was scheduled to be executed. A march was planned to protest the execution. An eleventh hour ruling placed a stay on the execution. The march and demonstration at the gates of San Quentin went ahead as planned keeping the pressure on the state to save Kevin Cooper and End the death penalty.
